Dive into the ultimate girls’ weekend in Vegas – from day drinking to pool parties, dining, and nightlife. Uncover insider tips for a memorable getaway!
My girlfriends and I have visited numerous destinations together over the years, but Las Vegas is always our favourite.
It seems that people either love or hate Las Vegas, we definitely fall into the love category and have had some fantastic Girls weekends in Las Vegas
Upon landing after a lengthy 12-hour flight from the UK, our first stop is always the hotel. Opting for a quick shower and change, we eagerly explore the city’s offerings. While we’ve stayed in various hotels, the Flamingo Hotel & Casino has become our go-to, thanks to its central location, spacious rooms, and a fantastic pool, which is great for our girls weekend in Las Vegas.
Where to day drink in Las Vegas
For day drinking, we have our favorite spots:
Cabo Wabo, a central strip gem with signature blend Margaritas.
PBR Rock Bar for the refreshing ‘Merica cocktail and great vibes.
Beer Park an open-air haven for people-watching and Bellagio fountain views. They also offer a good selection of cocktails (it’s not just beer!)
The Garden Bar a chilled venue overlooking the Flamingo lagoon.
Considering Las Vegas’ non-stop energy, our afternoons often transform into evening drinking sessions. With Las Vegas never sleeping, our night outs sometimes haven’t even kicked off until 1 a.m.
Las Vegas Pool Parties
Over the next few days in Las Vegas, we will check out the pool parties, work on our tans, and drink more than we probably should. This is all in the name of good fun and great company. Personally, I prefer smaller pool parties over big pools (but that’s just me).
Some great pool party venues for your ultimate girls’ weekend in Las Vegas are:
Marquee Daylcub On the 2nd floor of the Cosmopolitan Hotel, Marquee Dayclub boasts two pools, multiple bars, a gaming area, and resident DJs
Drais Beachclub 25’000 sq. foot rooftop oasis with amazing views of the strip, and features multiple pool experiences, luxury cabanas, and bungalows.
Tao 47,000 sq. feet of Balinese-inspired tropical oasis with lush scenery. Regardless of if you’re in the pool, at the bar, or in one of the Cabana’s you are always guaranteed to be part of the action
Flamingo Go Pool Set in 15 acres of palm trees this is a tropical paradise with a lagoon-style pool and waterfalls. The Flamingo also offers a family-friendly Beach Club Pool
We tend to do guest lists for pool parties. If you look carefully, you can find some great offers (free bar until a certain time). It’s helpful not having to queue, as queues do get long in peak months.
Some of my girlfriends will disagree with me on this (after a few mishaps, and last-minute dashes back to the hotel to wash off the excess makeup) however I like to book myself into (Sephora) for one of their makeovers. If you spend $50 you get the makeover for free, and I normally shop at Sephora whilst I’m there anyway. For foundation and powder, I always tell my consultant what I use and ask them to apply the same. For eyes, lips, and blush, however, they can do whatever they want.
Drybar at Miracle Mile is also a great idea, with a DJ, Photobooth, and full bar. Let their stylists give you an amazing blowout ready for the night ahead!
Where to eat in Las Vegas
The food options in Las Vegas are endless, and there is something to suit most budgets and tastes:
Spago by Wolfgang Puck A beautifully situated restaurant for al fresco dining in front of the Bellagio Fountains. Featuring handmade pasta, wood-oven pizzas, fresh seafood, handcrafted cocktails, and a robust wine list.
Giada Featuring upscale Italian cuisine and breathtaking views of the Las Vegas strip and Bellagio fountains. Enjoy dishes like lemon spaghetti, Marsala herb chicken meatballs, and an extensive wine selection.
Tao Asian Bistro With its unparalleled, pan-Asian restaurant on the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Every table is placed under the watchful eye of a 20-foot Buddha. Choose from Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, Wasabi Crusted Fillet, and extensive sake, and cocktail list
Where to party on your ultimate girls’ weekend in Las Vegas
My planning style means I tend to book guest lists in advance of our arrival, so we have a general idea of where we will be heading (although we don’t always follow this plan).
There are several companies online that will help you secure a spot on a guest list. If there are any special offers available, free drinks, free admission, etc., they will let you know. I love the fact that you don’t have to wait when you arrive at the venue, you just give your name and ID, and you’re good to go. Please don’t forget to take your ID with you to all venues that serve alcohol. Though we have been over 21 for several years now, we still get asked for ID and have had to return to the hotel for it!
Some of the top nightclub venues are:
XS Inspired by the sexy curves of the human body and decorated in rich gold, black, bronze, and brown. A beautiful and elegant venue that surrounds Encore’s pool, the 40,000-square-foot facility is equipped with an indoor/outdoor DJ booth and patio area.
The Omnia Terrace Providing sweeping vistas and panoramic views of the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. Featuring an additional dance floor, a 50-foot-long main bar, tiered cabanas, plush sofas, and a DJ booth to enjoy the energy of the Strip under the stars.
Drais NightClub With unparalleled views of the Las Vegas Strip enjoy the rooftop patio that features multiple pools, towering palm trees, and a variety of cabanas and bungalows
Las Vegas Traditions
During one of our Las Vegas trips, my friend Sarah introduced me to Earl of Sandwich It has become a Las Vegas tradition to have a sandwich and Chicken Tortilla Soup after a night out, before heading back to the hotel for a few hours of sleep
It’s always fun to catch a Las Vegas concert, depending on who’s playing. One of our favorite concerts is Cher, we’ve seen her twice in Vegas and would definitely see her again. Several years ago, I took my parents to see Mariah Carey in Las Vegas, and she was amazing. Unfortunately, my dad thought I meant Celine Dion, so it came as a surprise for him. Additionally, we have seen some amazing DJ sets by Tiesto and Calvin Harris. If you’re planning to visit, make sure you find out who is playing or who has a residency while you’re there.
Another Las Vegas tradition that we have is on the day we fly back to the UK, we head over to The Buffet at Bellagio for a delicious brunch. We gossip about our weekend and all the fun we had, and discuss when our next girls’ vacation will be!
